Roofing in Kalispell

What we actually do here
Kalispell is our busiest market. Not because roofing is different twenty minutes down the highway, but because there are more houses, more subdivisions built in the same decade reaching the same age, and more open exposure when the wind comes through.
Insurance claims after wind
A good share of our Kalispell work starts with a storm rather than a plan. Shingles come off, the homeowner calls their carrier, and then has to work out what happens next.
What matters most is the documentation. An adjuster who receives clear photographs of every slope, every lifted tab and every damaged vent has something concrete to approve. An adjuster working from a vague description does not. That is the whole reason we fly the roof and hand you the photo report.

Retail replacements
Plenty of our Kalispell jobs have nothing to do with insurance. The roof is twenty-something years old, the granules are gone, and it is time.
Those run on a fixed written price after we have been up and looked. Full tear-off to the deck, sheathing inspected, new underlayment, new flashing, ridge vent, and a magnet sweep before we leave.
What we find under Kalispell roofs
Nobody knows what is under the shingles until they are off. On a fair number of these houses we open it up and find sheathing that has been quietly wet for years, usually around a chimney, a valley, or a bathroom vent that was never properly flashed.
That is the one part of a roof we cannot quote precisely in advance. What we can do is tell you the rate for decking replacement before we start, show you the damage when we find it, and keep it reasonable.

Two days, start to finish
Most Kalispell re-roofs we do are on and finished inside two days, including the tear-off and the clean-up.
That is not a corner-cutting number. It comes from crane-truck delivery that puts the bundles straight onto the roof instead of the driveway, a crew sized for the job, and starting early.
On the April job above, the roof came off on a Monday and the new one was finished by Wednesday, shop included.
What goes on the roof
We buy through ABC Supply in the valley, and we install Malarkey and Owens Corning as a certified contractor with both. Which one goes on your house depends on your budget and your exposure, and we will tell you which we would choose.
Underneath it: synthetic underlayment rather than felt, ice and water shield where it belongs, new flashing at every penetration, and ridge vent to get the attic breathing properly.

Getting here
Our office is at 346 Central Ave in Whitefish, about twenty minutes up the highway. Close enough that coming back to look at something in February is not a problem.
